The words"that is Pakistan Broadcasting Service" that went on air in the midnight of August 14' 1947' indicated the arrival of Radio Pakistan. It was converted to Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) on December 20' 1972 as a statutory body governed by the Board of Directors as well as the Director General.PBC Objective is to be a credible and efficient medium to promote Pakistan as an educated and progressive Islamic state both at home and overseas. Owing to the successful endeavor to notify' educate and amuse' PBC is known as Voice of Pakistan.PBC's extensive nationwide network of AM / SW / FM channels and representatives spread throughout the nation covers 98% of people and 80 percent of the entire region in Pakistan.
